A conventional BILLY shelf from IKEA is shredded and made into a small pile of hand-made, thick paper. A ready-made is transformed and offers space for new content. (...) Konvention und Abstraktion verbindet Max Schaffer in der wunderbar um die Ecke gedachten Arbeit Catalogue Raisonné. Ein konventionelles BILLY-Regal von IKEA wird zerschreddert und zu einem kleinen Stapel handgeschöpftem, dickem Papier gemacht. Ein ready-made wird transformiert und bietet Raum für neuen Inhalt. Fertigware wird zur Fläche grenzenloser Möglichkeiten. Massenware wird zum Werk, zur "Schöpfung" einer neuen Form — zum Katalog von unbekannten, noch zu realisierenden Werken (...)
